Color Burst

With this lovely weather I couldn't wait to get my colorful combinations out. I'm a definitely a lover of neon, and love mixing different pieces together. This summer you don't have to be afraid of mixing colors in a single look, as long as the pieces are made up of one color only! Be careful when mixing patterns so it isn't mistaken for some old patchwork piece :)

From today on, its likely that the posts will be coming in less frequently as I'll need all the time I can get to focus on getting studying done for my final exams on the last week of may. Wish me luck!!

Com este optimo tempo que tem feito, não pude resistir a usar combinações cheias de cor. Eu adoro neons e acho que ficam muito bem quando misturados. Neste verão, não tenham medo de misturar várias cores vivas no mesmo look, desde que as peças forem de uma só cor. É preciso ter atenção quando se mistura padrões, não queremos parecer que estamos a usar umas peças antigas de patchwork! :)

A partir de hoje, os posts virão com menos frequencia pois tenho mesmo de me concentrar e estudar para os meus exames na ultima semana de maio. Wish me luck!!

Louis Vuitton Inspired

Here we have a rather different and slightly more elaborated look than usual... change is always good! Inspiration for this was taken from Louis Vuitton, which many of you may have immediately recognized. Back in october when I saw their spring/summer '13 line I absolutely fell in love with the range of checkered prints and the styling of their models (which was all very 60's inspired). 
By now you all know that ZARA is an expert when it comes to coping trends and quickly manufacturing them, many times even reaching the racks faster than the original designer ones. When I spotted this coat, alongside this dress and these shorts i couldn't help myself and get them! ZARA is the proof that you can have close to identical pieces to some of the world's most acclaimed designers at a very attainable price :)

Desta vez mostro-vos um look diferente e um pouco mais elaborado... às vezes é preciso investir em pequenas mudanças! A inspiração para este look foi Louis Vuitton. Em outubro do ano passado quando vi a colecção primavera/verão '13 apaixonei-me por estas peças de padrão quadriculado e pelo styling das modelos (muito anos 60).  
Já todos sabemos que a ZARA é uma 'expert' em copiar peças de designers de renome e foi exactamente isso que aconteceu com a Louis Vuitton. Quando vi este casaco, juntamente com estes calções e este vestido achei o máximo e tive de comprá-los! A ZARA é a prova que podemos ter peças muito parecidas às dos designers mais famosos, porém a um preço bastante acessível.

Phillip Lim - Target's New Guest Designer

Over the years, Target has had various collaborations with respectful designers but this year, they have really outdone themselves! They collaborated with Prabal Gurung in spring and now Philip Lim is going to debut his collection on the September 15th.

The collection is set to be around 100 pieces and the prices will be under $50. There will be clothing, bags, shoes and travel accessories all in the style of the much acclaimed designer. Target promises us "a classic fall palette of neutral tones with a mix of basic prints".

Although the images of the collection won't be available until the summer, the company has released a teaser of collection. 

Personally I cannot wait to see the collection, I know that Philip Lim is a wonderful designer and anything he comes up with, will be to die for!

Com o passar dos anos a Target já colaborou com vários designers conceituados e este ano não foi nenhuma excepção. Eles já colaboraram com o Prabal Gurung na primavera deste ano e agora com o Philip Lim, lançarão a nova colecção no dia 15 de Setembro.
